Me too. The sword fights felt good later on twenty guys surrounding you. The second was great too and better in a lot of ways. I just have a special liking for the first's animus room and arabic lands.
We got Assassin's Creed 2 a total of 3 times and then AC3 happened. Also the current time story line went to shit.

I still eagerly await the next game in the series, even after bad ones. I love the environments, exploration, and historical stories, and while the combat isn't anything to write home about, it is fun. Don't care too much for the modern-day stuff, though I do want it to remain a part of the series.

my man. I recommend anybody that hasn't played asscreed since 3 or revelations give black flag and syndicate a chance. Syndicate was made by a diff dev in ubisoft, and while it's still assassins creed at it's core, they did their best to make it less shit.

Same desu. 2007 was a good year. This was just an impulse buy on my 360 and I wasn't so sure what to expect.
I wanted to like Unity so badly because I'm a frenchaboo, but it felt literally nothing like france or like there was a revolution going on.
unlike the ezio trilogy, specifically 2 and brotherhood where it 100% felt like you were in renaissance italy. even AC3 did a great job feeling like you were in the actual frontier, it's unmistakably colonial America.
Unity might as well have been any random city in any random fucking european country in the 1700's. and we probably are never going to get another AC set in that time period so it was just a fucking waste.
the fact that it somehow runs worse on my xbone than syndicate does is weird as well.
