Indie means independent developer, meaning one who isn't bound to a publisher or working in the AAA sector of the industry. Generally indie products have lower budgets and significant limitations. It describes the origin of the product, it is not a genre. It is not something that can be used to classify the media like action, horror, comedy, etc. In fact, an indie can be any genre, which should tell you that it is not a genre itself.
tldr I wish the hands of fate could turn back to prevent your mother dropping you on your head and giving you severe brain damage.
