the fuck

Well it does have a mini hdmi port and 2 dvi ports. I should have bought an extra VGA cable but NOO, technology blinded me.
>>
>>330956752
How the fuck do you not have VGA cables lying around? Look on craigslist for some you can probably find then for less than a dollar, also VGA has no sound output so you better have some speakers. Why the fuck would HDMI not work? Are you using output from your graphics card or motherboard?
>>
>>330958134

Graphics Card, I've been trying different drivers and workarounds but none work.

And I never needed a VGA cable until now, I guess I'll be buying one soon.
>>
Just buy a regular hdmi cable. You can get them on Amazon for almost nothing.

Have you tried this?

I've never seen a mini HDMI port on a computer. It's always been HDMI.

What the fuck kind of computer are you using?

It only has a mini hdmi port though.

>>330959673

No, but I will try it, I just wanted to play some games on a screen that belonged to this century.

>>330959947

It's a cheap budget graphics card, costed me like 50 bucks.

Don't know what to say about your post.

Yeah, there some comparability issue. I ran into this problem with my old HD tv with a HDMI > DVI cable. You need full HDMI to full HDMI. Anything less and you run the risk of having bullshit incompatibility problems cause HDMI is a patented and secured connection that refuses other signals.

Thank sony for their DRM wires.

Also, a thing that apparently happens as a warning to other anons. When I got my 55" tv to plug into my PC, I just couldn't get a signal. Turns out, the slot that you connect the HDMI wire on your GPU is essential cause GPU slots are numbered but that numbered is hidden.

Say you see only one HDMI connection on your GPU, that connection could be internally known as HDMI 1/2/3 etc in your PC and you wouldn't know it. If you're plugging an HDMI tv to your GPU, make sure you TRY ALL THE CONNECTIONS, and save your self hours and hours of frustration.

i thought he did too i thought he was confusing hdmi for usb and his toaster had a usb3.0-c charger on it or something

i dont know man people who come here are fuckin stupid
>>
>>330961562

Both have 1 HDMI port each though, but thanks for the advice, those are the things I always overlook.
>>
Sometimes the order you turn things on in matters with HDMI. Try turning everything off, then PC on, log in, then TV on last.

Another thing to check is resolutions. If it's a 720p TV being fed a 1080p signal, it might not acknowledge it at all. Fuck around with resolutions and see if that helps.

One last trick is to try and get your PC to autodetect the TV, so turn everything off, unplug your PC monitor, and try using ONLY the TV for a display. Sometimes finicky TV sets like being the primary monitor.

>>330962251

Tried those 3 things and nothing worked, I'm thinking it's a driver but the drivers refuse to install.

I guess it's my shitty computer, it's more than 5 years old.
