>it aged terribly
I seriously hope you don't use this as reason why a game is bad.
>>330903538
even if it's something like Battle Network 1?
What about super mario 64
>>330903538
no, but I'll use it as an excuse not to play it.

Unfinished playshapes animation.
>>330903538
It's not enough reason for a game being bad, but it is enough to understand why newer generations won't enjoy it as much.
>>330903769
Mario 64 aged perfectly fine, specially if you compare it with other 3D platformers like Sonic Adventure and Rayman 2
>>330904134
Tifa's would probably be sweaty
Yuffie's would probably have materia in it
Aeristh's would probably smell like flowers.
>>330903538

FFVII was never good.

Unfortunately, this is the case for me. I can't even replay VTMB because of it's ui.
In general though the aging thing applies to me when some mechanics that the games relies heavily on were improved upon in more recent games. So games with some unique mechanics are good to go.
With graphics it's either if the game looks comepletely godawful or is in a limbo between being good and bad (I couldn't get into DEHR because of facial animations and couldn't replay witcher 2 after the witcher 3 trailers for the same reason).
