Are you saying that DS is easy because it's not
I'm really shit at video games. I enjoyed it though.
Silver Surfer is the first one that comes to my mind.
when I first played Oblivion I leveled up every chance I could get, and I was wondering why I was so weak and why every enemy killed me in two hits
I don't remeber playing any unreasonably hard games but I don't really play old 2D platformers and rarely do playthoughs on hardest possible diffiiculties.
I remember Code Veronica X for PS2 kicking my ass pretty hard but it was mostly one part and because I wasn't careful with them.
What are some really fun, difficult roguelikes? I've been playing the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games since they started making them and loved every single one of them. But they're starting to feel too easy now and I don't know where to start when it comes to other roguelikes.
God Hand, Gimmick, or Recca. Take your pick.

Izuna 2 was pretty tough. Weapon duability was so awful that if your forged up weapon ever broke you could go 2 enemies without any of your weapons turning to dust.

Nice dichotomy. It's not easy, but it's not fucked hard and total bullshit like memers want you to think.
