Make sure to get a good reviewed 970. No coil whine and proper backplate. Ideally vertical mount, no case listed.
Also I have a Supernova psu, don't know that one but corsair is good.

OP here, sorry i should of clarified, the only thing I'm "upgrading" is the mobo and cpu. It was an amd fx 4300 and a very old gigabyte mobo that could barley power said cpu.
