What are some good multiplayer games that aren't mobas or cs go or MMOs. Any fps is fine except csgo. Fuck csgo. I was thinking maybe buying battlefield 4 is that a good idea or no?
It's alright if you dont mind 3 sec animations and overblow camera movements. I used to play bf4 a lot but lately I can't get over those things. I miss bc2 tho.

I recently got back into Mechwarrior Online, it's pretty good. Grind can be brutal though. About 150k - 200k credits per match, each match is 5 - 10 minutes long, good mechs range from 6 to 20 million credits.

I would recommend APB Reloaded. I enjoy the game but it does make me rage. It will probably make you rage as well. The entire community is toxic, plenty of blatant/closet hackers and a shitty dev team. But for some reason I still play this damn game every fucking day.
Also the "engine update" maybe and I mean maybe will be out this summer. This should fix a lot of shit because the game is unoptimized as shit.

bf4 has a great carrot-on-a-stick (lots of weapons/mods/percs etc to unlock), solid gunplay, and still visually holds up. better have decent net tho, as the netcode/latency issues can be frustrating at times. also weirdness about owning a server, but always full servers on peak (and usually obscure) hours

BF4 has more players than Battlefront and is generally a badass game. In its current state, I actually prefer it over BF3. If you watch for sales you can pick up premium with all 20 maps for like $24.

Last time I checked stats during peak hours they were pretty close. BF4 definetly easier to find good lobbies at weird hours though
Killing Floor is great if you can find any active servers. Stay away from KF2 though, steaming pile of turd that it is.

Rust re-ignited my fire for multiplayer games. it can get a bit grindy but it reminds me of when we were kids and we made forts and battled each other.... except with guns, c4 and lots of social terrorism.

it's the only other game besides WoW I've put over 500 hours into so I have to recommend even though I've rage quit a few times. I think the pre-beta formula works for them... lots of changes each month keeps you intrigued.

I guess you could go with BF4, but I got pretty bored of it about 20 hours in. The sheer number of mods borders on pointlessness.
A few maps are good here and there, but depends heavily on squad play. Unfortunately, most squads are groups of friends on mumble/vent/whatever voip and will stay dead silent in-game.
Get it if you have friends who play it. Otherwise, Overwatch is pretty fun at times.
