Does this game just have sluggish/delayed control or is it just me?
Especially for Epona and swimming. How does this series go back to such terrible swimming after Majora?
There definitely is some delay, rolling is the most egregious example I've noticed. If you're playing on the gamepad I've heard that increases the lag too.
I'm really hoping for a patch at this point, I'm pretty satisfied overall but there are some easy changes that would complete the package

My friend was complaining about input lag too but I haven't had any problem besides with the horse colliding with walls. I'm at Hyrule Castle, just tidying up sidequests before finishing the game.

gamecube on dolphin with increased internal res and some filters/post process still looks and plays better.

Some of the left thumbstick movements are just "off" Idk whats wrong with them, but after 5 hours of playing its VERY noticeable. Less so with link and the wolf. But more so with Epona.

Just about to do the water temple and I have yet to notice any kind of input lag, then again perhaps the complaints stem from people who played the Wii version? I've only ever played my Gamecube copy until now.

Having to collect less tears, having a button to turn into wolf form, bigger wallet and gyro controls along with the option for hero mode make the emulated version inferior by default.

But swimming in Majoras was awful.
Granted it was an improvement from previous games, it still operated like ass in cramped spaces. Unless you were in wide open areas or continuously moving forward, it was impossible to navigate and the camera was unwieldy.
Seriously. I've attempted a 3 heart death run multiple times now for Majora's mask, and the reason I fail each time is because the whole fight against Gyorg is underwater. Everything else is easy as pissing in the shower.

For me it has nothing to do with my prior experience with the game. I played it last at release. Mine is comparing it to Wind Waker, MAjora's Mask and even Skyward Sword. It just feels extremely clunky for some reason.

It was much more of a pain in the ass to have to come back to a dungeon after spending some rupees to clear out chests.

The max capacity was upped to a ridiculous level anyways.
You'd have to stay with a small wallet through the whole game for that to be a trouble. And the biggest wallet lets you carry 9999 rupees;
you'd really need to go out of your way to reach that amount.

You cant get the colossal wallet unless you own the amiibo and beat the twilight palace anyway, so its way too late in the game to matter.
