Someone tell me the appeal of Uncharted. The first game in the series was also the first game I played through on PS3 and it was the very definition of mediocrity. Only even remotely "woah" moment was when Drake's clothes got only partly wet in shallow pools.

Nathan Drake actually has some self-esteem issues at times, something you barely ever see a MC have in games.
In every game he basically gives up at a point, not for any greater reason but because he's simply afraid. It's not some fucking shakespeare writing but it grounds him and makes him a more interesting character then he would be otherwise.
