RIP PC piracy

RIP legit consumers more like

>third party software used to "stop" pirates destroys my SSD

T-thanks...

Explain
>>
>>330556148
What? That makes no sense
>>
>>330556184
Ssds are dirt cheap nowadays
>>
More like rip pirating bad triple a games, which is good.
>>
>>330556278
Oh okay, I guess that's okay to spend $60 on a game to have a $200 SSD destroyed. Thanks again Denuvo!
>>
>>330556205
>>330556239
Denuvo is known for killing SSDs because it is constantly writing and rewriting itself. A lot of people won't buy games that use it for that reason alone.
>>
Fuck
>>
>>330556481
proof?
>>
>there are people on /v/ right now sad that they can't pirate ubisoft and square-enix shit

you people disgust me, i want every casual on /v/ to leave

Thay market is fucking small

Jesus Christ, why does /v/ act like half the people on Steam are /g/

provide proof faggot
>>
>>330556008
You dumbfuck, it's not piracy, sales and second hand market is the greater evil. Tomb raider has denuvo and it is still has shit sales.
>>
>>330557048
The only denuvo locked game I want is Just Cause 2.
>>
>>330556481
Didn't this turn out to be a myth?

Daily reminder that anti-piracy threads are a psy-op.

Daily reminder that the same people who support denuvo support TPP.
>>
>this very thread has literally been up at least 3-4 different times since yesterday
what's OP agenda? trying to convince people to buy a ps4, instead of PC?
>>
>>330557305
Yes it did
>>
>>330557048
It's on dark souls 3 also and deus ex
>>
>>330557361
>dark souls 3

i hope so
>>
>>330557348
His agenda is to get (you)s
>>
>>330556008
>implying I even care about games released these days

I can still pirate games already released fuckface, I'll never run out of games.
>>
Is this thread actually full of... DRM shills? I never thought I'd see such a thing. Outside of Steam threads anyway.
>>
>>330557361

deus ex is square-enix shit
>>
>>330557876
>deus ex
>shit

Here's your (You)
>>
>>330557361
I hope it is on Dark Souls 3 so autistic fucks can start crying when they can't torrent shit anymore.
>>
>>330557858

How can it? Denuvo isn't DRM.
>>
>>330557361
Except for the fact that it's not on Dark Souls 3.
>>
>piratefag tears
>>
didnt 3dm said they cracked the past few games and plan to release it all at once to fuck over denuvo? it should be soon
>>
>>330557992
fuck off shill
>>
>>330558207
IIRC they said they cracked a few but couldn't be arsed to crack all of them due to randomization. It is crackable, just very slow and tedious.
>>
>>330556008
look I posted it again
>>
>>330556008
and long live console piracy
>>
>>330556008
I also told him to burn my hard drive and increase my pc temp by a shit ton he actually did it
>>
Meanwhile, no matter how much the developers try to protect their games and increase sales, games with no drm(The Witcher 3) or a cheap drm like steam drm (Fallout 4, black ops 3) still sell way better than the denuvo crap

>>330556008
I had to do some research to even find out what this was.

Maybe we'll find out how to crack it when it supports a good game, trying to stop piracy is futile
>>
>>330558383

>get hacked 3DS
>pirate the shit out of MH4
>the remaining games all suck balls

what was even the point?
>>
>>330558430
Correlation doesn't imply causation.
>>
>>330558480

Welcome to pc.
>>
>>330558547

Actually it does. If your game doesn't sell it was a. released at the wrong time b. shit c. poorly marketed d. on the wrong platform e. all of the above. There's no other excuses.

Pick ANY of the unsuccessful games of the last five years, you'll see that's the case.
>>
Didn't they crack tomb raider in weeks or something? Don't care about that crap enough to check.
>>
>>330558859

The latest they haven't. You can play ROTR with all the dlc without purchasing extra content with a family share trick, but it's a workaround.
>>
>>330558547
Nice deflection
But as of now every denuvo game has been a gigantic letdown
It's a flag for shit games
>>
>>330557036
During 2 weeks with Mad Max I had over 1TB of data written on my 250GB SSD, while normally it's about 5GB/week.
>>
>>330558669
But you forgot that games like Fallout 4, The Witcher 3 and Black Ops 3 were marketed to hell, it's only natural that they manage to sell, whilst games like Lords of the Fallen didn't see the light of the day because they never had any actual marketing to begin with.
Mad Max had Denuvo and actually managed to sell well, because of the marketing.

DRM has very little to do with sales, it is just the marketing and platforms the games are sold in.
>>
>>330558207
Keep waiting
>>
>>330557305
>>330557357
Denuvo itself put out a statement that it's not true.
They didn't prove it in any way.

Gullible retards like you now do it away as a myth because the company that is accused is simply saying "no it doesn't!"
>>
>>330559119
Could you post screenshots of that somehow? Not because I don't believe you but because I want proof to show the Denuvo shills that roam the boards.
>>
>>330559204
Mad Max had Denuvo? Because I remember a day zero crack of that game. It wasn't a good game and I'm glad I didn't buy it but I genuinely thought it had like, basic steam DRM.
>>
>>330557992
What a retard
>>
>>330560120
he's right you know
>>
>>330559862
Mad Max has denuvo and took like 2 months to crack. I ended up buying it anyway because it's a great game.
>>
>>330557361
>>330557450
>>330557984
It's not on dark souls 3, there was some list on a gaming blog a while back that claimed every single new release of 2016 has denuvo. There was no source cited, just asspullery, and people took it so serious they trolled themselves into believing it and now they "ironically" spread it as a truth

>Denuvo established to delay cracks by several months, maybe years for less popular games right now

>Denuvo games still don't sell any better than comparable non-denuvo games

When will the
>pirates will buy games they can't pirate
meme end? It's clearly wrong
>>
Is it time to just give up new games completely?
>>
why do companies even make new games. video games have become shit anyway
>>
So Denuvo is some sort of read-only program?

I don't care whether or not pirates will be able to get the game for free.

What about modding?
>>
>>330556278
Still does not excuse it
>>
>>330560708
>When will the meme end?
Never. Stupidity is eternal.
It's the same shit with movie pirating. Producers thought if they start closing down torrent trackers - people would start going to the movie theaters.
>>
>>330559009
>New Hitman
>shit
>>
>>330560956
Pretty sure modding is dead unless the dev allows it. Unfortunately very few allow it.
>>
>>330560710
>not doing this already
le unimpressed baseball man
>>
>>330561213
You mean with Denuvo?

Denuvo makes modding close to impossible, it has little to do with dev approval.
The just cause 3 multiplayer mod, which is for all intents and purposes an official mod that the devs heavily endorse, is barely getting started because working around Denuvo is near impossible.
The JC3 devs fucked themselves so hard by employing Denuvo it's funny. Imagine how many sales they would have if the game had online.
>>
>>330560710
no, I still have hope.
just not for AAA industry
>>
>>330561197
>>
lmao
>>
Even though I'm a pirate I don't really care about Denuvo, because I'm allowed to try to circumvent the market, and they can try to protect their property. I still won't ever get one of them legit though, muh SSD.
>>
Oh boy its this thread again
>>
>>330560904
are you blind?
its on the top right corner
>>
>>330559534
The burden of proof is on the accuser.

So, where's the proof?
