Should I stick with Xbox because of me being an ex-achievement whore? I kinda like the list of games over the years with various achievements and it feels like a waste to abandon. Should I just give up and invest in a gaming PC?

Achivements are nice but should never be a must for a game. Also Steam achivments are shit just saying it just pops up in a super laggy window nothing really ful filling about it either since it doesnt add up in points and shit like Playstation or Xbone.

I've seen a small handful of people in my lifetime that don't care about achievements but do impressive shit anyway for the joy of it, and an endless sea of shitters that work up into a fury at the idea of achievements and insist that they don't need achievements to validate their feats that will at best finish 10% of their games once on normal/easy with the bare minimum effort and style.
I don't care if people like to collect achievements or not but I find the people that get mad at them are almost always terrible players at best anyway. If you're part of the former group you're a cool mother fucker

Steam should natively do it though. Perhaps awarding a fluctuating score based on the rarity of the achievement against all others who have that game in their list. All the achievements have no value like a trophy (bronze-platinum) or scored achievement.

i'd say im around mid tier. i have an xbox and wii u and i 100%ed most of my wii u games even though there is no achievement to do so though.
You should definitely get a PC, then you can pirate all your games and not worry about achievements.
I think achievements should be in games cause it's like, "BAM! I did that! Douya!" It's a nice feeling. Like completing super hard difficulty, maybe not bad grindy ones though.
