Overrated has a meaning. A definition. It isn't just a "special word" to establish yourself as a hipster. You don't just list good games and say they're "overrated", that's not what overrated means. Overrated means it doesn't deserve the praise it gets.
This being said, MM, FF7, New Vegas, and Dark Souls are all great games and deserve the recognition and praise they get.

There are minor improvements. However, both games are great and took a different direction in what they aimed to deliver. MM is more about exploration and side questing while OOT is more dungeon oriented.

Except the dungeons are similar in length to OOT. Side questing is subjective you simply dislike it. Most other zeldas including OOT have had similar stories. MM at least tried to change it up with a different antagonist and plot thats not just save hyrule and zelda from Ganon. 2deep4u grimdark are just shitty buzzwords for someone who can't come up with a solid argument.

Out of the main series FF2 is definitely the worst. FF13 gets shit on a lot for being a generic jrpg but is still rather fun. FF2 had the worst leveling system that was easily abused. Otherwise there are no real bad final fantasies only mediocre ones that could use a little improvement.
