I'm keeping an eye on it, 1 was kind of disappointing and I'm not sure if they're fixing what I dislike about it or not.
Really wasn't a fan of the writing or music in Frozen Synapse either so I'm not sure how to feel about nervous_testpilot doing the soundtrack again, or about all these Factions in the city.
Is there even anything outside Markov Geist? Is it just a city in the middle of a desert? Where does the food come from? Where are all the people?

Mostly how abstract the levels were. Desks and walls floating around in empty voids to create terrain rather than glued together in any meaningful or believable sense. Luckily there are curved walls this time around, maybe that'll help.
Sound and UI weren't great either.

Frozen Synapse is a purely mechanics-driven game, so I'm not completely surprised to hear of complaints like that. Always though of it as more comparable to something like Chess than standard games

Well, in chess there's a lot more places you can go at any given time. I feel like a lot of the maps were heavy on open space.

I don't give a fuck about Frozen Synapse 2 because I'm perfectly content with Frozen Synapse 1 plus I'm not going to give any money to the devs after they released a totally unnecessary remake of the first game and split the playerbase.
