I didn't think dragonfall/returns was that bad. It's decent but not GOTY material.
Pillars was a piece of shit, I agree. Terrible story pacing, non-interesting party members. World was filled with backer dialogue shit which made it feel empty ironically. Combat was pure shit, it came down to abusing mind link because all your other skills suck and deal absolutely no damage in comparisson.

I liked wateland 2 a lot actually, put 40 hours into it before the directors cut came out.
Actually that kind of pissed me off, I wish I had just waited an ENTIRE YEAR after the game came out for the "definitive" version to start playing it but oh well. The version you can play now is great. SR returns was pretty boring, I heard Dragonfall was better though. Never played eternity.
