He was suppose to smash through via Shepards bed room(the top celing) and start a cerburs take over where they stole some shit and he alone with the artifact got away(rest of the attackers got captured/killed).
They threw away that stealth approach for a "lol, suck my dick shepard" edgy pants man.

seriously during his fights he is literally no threat what so ever in terms of gameplay. This combined with him being just an augmented human in terms of looks and abilities makes it incredibly jarring when after a fight with him shepard suddenly loses during the cutscene when literally everything up to that point hinted at shep being leagues above and beyond his capabilities.
Sure other games do have easy boss battles after which the protagonist still loses but generally speaking they're against gods or horrors from the beyond or at least giant monsters, things that consistently look threatening. If you want to pull the same with a human enemy that fucker's boss battle better damn well be difficult.
And lets not forget other cutscene stupidity like after the Thane fight Shepard meekly shoots a pistol (and misses) at him. Which literally does not make sense for ANY of the classes
