What's the hardest Final Fantasy boss fight?
You just posted it
Trial 100
Demon walls in FFXII were annoying

Yiazmat is just time consuming
It's really not that hard. Zodiark on the other hand

Yiazmat? Penance from FFX international?
How is a game that literally plays itself harder than ff13-3?
DON'T FUCK WITH THE LAW
Wasn't there an "impossible" boss fight in FF11? I think it was Bahamut? I think I heard a story about a huge party of skilled players fighting it for over ten hours or some shit, and still lost.

Omega MK II and Neo Shinryu in V

Honorary mentions to Omega and Shinryu, which, while probably not the hardest bosses in the series, are still famously pretty damn hard.

This guy has the right of it, though. Can't get much more difficult than a boss that is literally designed to be unbeatable.

This. 5 Star on an Aeronite+ on Hard Mode was pretty frustrating.

shhhh, we don't speak of that!

Wait, so is the story true? Is that boss actually unbeatable? What's the point?

Now, all of this is based on something I read ages ago and I'm about to get some shuteye so I'm not in the mood to look things up to clarify further.
Strictly speaking, this guy can theoretically be defeated. In that he can be damaged, and if you should get his health down to 0, he will die just like any other enemy in the game. We know this to be true because he actually HAS been beaten before, several times in fact. The problem is that every time that players actually managed to beat it, the devs would tweak him next patch so the strategy used to beat him no longer worked. This happened several times as players found new strategies to beat it, and the devs responded in kind by giving him safeguards against those strategies, until eventually the players ran out of ideas.
