The first Dawn of War, if you play as Necrons. You have to expand a little bit, but most of their playstyle is turtling until you get their Monolith online.

this. i just wish there were more better tower defense games out there. pvz was good, the kingdom rush games are pretty swell, super sanctum TD was good but thats basically it honestly. the hybrid fps/td games like orcs must die and sanctum 2 were pretty fun, but dont really scratch the itch.

personally, i feel nothing really comes close to the old wintermaul and wintermaul wars maps on WC3 bnet. but that shit is dead as fuck.

idk, the AI in starcraft 2 will scale how well you do, and if you dont get your early game down and get your harassment tactics up the game will kick the shit out of you till the difficulty drops back down, reminding you that you suck donkey balls at RTS games.

It doesn't really matter if "rush" as strategy is viable. If it is not, 1k apm koreans will "rush" to high tier with optimal build path and make ten billions mega units while you stuck getting wood. It's problem of how overall better economy wins game because to win you need to destroy everything opponent have. Only really SupCom worked somewhat differently since you could at any point still snipe commander even if you super behind on economy.

You just can't into rts, it's whoever does many things faster and outplay one another, even if rushing becomes unviable and everyone will build you'll still suck at it because you actually suck at it since you can't counter rush and likely don't even know that rush is happening before it, well, happened. I mean I'm not some pro myself and I wouldn't mind some chill sit-back-and-enjoy rts game but it won't happen because rts don't work that way, look for turnbased.
