The Division is like Indentity Crisis: The video game.
It's like they looked at what is popular and what kind of mechanics people like and just put them in one game. It's RPG and shooter elements are pulling in two completely different directions.

What do you expect? Its a multiplayer online third person shooter that has RPG elements in its looting and item system, if shit died in a couple of hits there would be no point in gaining loot and levelling up. I'm fine with all the criticism bouncing around but seeing people complaining about enemies having some health in a stat based shooter is just retarded. Also my time with the beta if I shot shit in the head they'd die almost instantly anyway.
Anyway I haven't bought this game yet because I'm still dubious about post launch support.

What you described is basically Borderlands. The problem with this is that The Division sells itself as a realistic shooter especially in the graphics. Why try so hard to make it LOOK realistic when it doesn't FEEL realistic?

Watched a friend play this for an hour last night and it looked incredibly boring. You don't even see other players out in the world unless you're in the dark zone. The game just consists of walking through a mostly empty Manhattan, occasionally running into a couple dudes looting a body who you get the drop on and kill, and then continue on. The missions themselves just have shitty bullet sponge fights if you play on hard or against enemies appropriate to your level.
I heard this game causes erectile dysfunction
