It took most of the tenents of Ass Creed games and replaced them with something different, auto parkour was fun for a couple games but it became stale and is on life support now. Running around lush jungles in a setting that is less common than the norm, as well as naval combat wasfun

unity might be a little better looking but paris is so boring and lifeless there's no point to it
the plot was shit, the characters were shit, their motivations didn't make sense, and the french revolution barely played any part in the game at all
Fish in the Sea was the best shanty and anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong and a bad pirate.
Best Assassin's Creed to date.

Unity has an amazing world and graphics and it's more challenging and smarter. Black Flag is loads of fun though. I can't really decide which one I like best.
I'd recommend both desu.
