What are the best wilderness survival games, /v/?
>>330213148
I liked The Long Dark.
>>330213180
Did they ever make it less frustrating?
>>330213245
Dunno
I didn't find it frustrating. Everything just takes very long time.
>>330213740
I never got around to hunting and didn't like that you couldn't build structures.
>>330213180
Seconded this.
This was the only game that felt like it tried to make a challenging and realistic approach to survival without going to far into "horror" territory.
If you think Horror is fine to, then there's Project Zomboid as well which I actually think pulled off the survival aspect really well.
I like The Forest
Unreal World, by a large margin

Are they still working on it?
>>330214559
Is there an updated guide? Playing the steam version and I know the one I saw told me to do things that are no longer in the game.
>>330214694
Haven't looked at a guide for it in a long time, so I can't offer any help I'm afraid.
Heavily modded Skyrim.

that game is so bad
fuck you for buying alpha pre release early access meowmeowbullshit
>>330214876
It'd be less of a pain if not for the lack of mouse support. If I could right click to select an option instead of having to have a key reference sheet up every time I want to do something.
Amazing game, though. I hear you can do crazy shit like skii and have your own attack dogs.

I'd love a Skyrim mod that just makes the world bigger. There aren't a lot of long stretches of wilderness, sadly.
unreal world

>Are they still working on it?
Yeah, the main menu even has a countdown to the next update. They've only missed their target once in two years afaik. Next update is in two weeks.
>>330215478
Awww shit. What have they added in the last while?
I really liked the game but wanted them to flesh out the world more. Make shit like snares craftable and whatnot.

>Chromatic aberration
Oh no
