Why was Star Fox Adventures such adecentgame?
That's just nostalgia talking anon. After attempting to replay it I realized just how mediocre it actually was.

Because it was colorful and well detailed and took place in a new and interesting setting. The only real downside is the monotonous combat and the fact that you can totally tell that Starfox was shoehorned in.

because it was an aesthetically pleasing game and had a fairly good level of difficulty.
The run animation was my favorite at the time but the arwing battles were a complete wash.
If nothing else Star Fox Adventures has one of the better shop keepers in any video game. His voice actor really sold how much of a dick he is.
