Does anybody have experience with reproduction carts?
I've been thinking of getting this, but I'm worried it won't work. Or it might do the famous 'Erase your file at final boss' pirate protection.

If you're knowledgeable enough about games to actively seek that kind of thing out I assume you know what a flash cart is. May as well spend a few dollars more and, instead of having one (fake) cartridge you'll have every game on the system.

Lucky for me I guess, I'm not OP. If you wouldn't mind, could you elaborate on what happened to your Genesis? I'm curious to know what a repro cartridge could possibly do to a system. In my defense, I've bought a few GBA repros and one has audio that craps out when you save (although you can soft reset to fix), but nothing that would do significant harm to a system

I honestly have no fucking clue.
I bought the game, put it in and started playing it.
After an hour, I started to notice smoke coming from the actual cartridge. I freaked out, pulled it out and turned off the system.
I waited for a while, then turned the system back on and it seemed okay.
Then I put in an older game I had and unfortunately it did not work. ALL MY OLD GAMES didn't work.
Then the actual console started to smoke, and I was like "fuck it" and gave up. Lost a good console and didn't want to lose any of my older games.

3. Load entire Rom libraries onto SD
4. Get Mayflash adapter to play with original controllers
5. Play on CRT for muh scanlines
