I like to use it. I doesn't really make much of a difference, but it's nice. Like increased resolution. You can still tell what's happening, but it just makes everything nicer anyway.
This is why I know VR will never be an option for me in the future. If my eyes can't handle a tiny, pixelated screen, how will I even face up to a fully immersive experience?

Why would anyone use the 3D more than once just to try it out? I wish Nintendo just made an actual handheld instead of wasting resources on cheap gimmicks.
Some games (Kid icarus, Kingdom hearts, Yokai watch, Gunman clive...) have pretty nice 3d effects but most games don't even try. .

That only applies to the O3DS.
The N3DS has face tracking 3D and eliminates that issue. Turn it off an you can see why it doesn't work.

Colors are more vibrant with 3D on, and you don't see the jaggies as bad like the other anon mentioned.

I have an O3DS, a 3DS XL and a N3DS XL.
To get the 3D effect from the O3DS I need to hold the console really close to my face, around 20cm.
With the XL models I can extend my arms comfrotably and still see the effect with the New model allowing a lot more of movement than the normal XL model.
