At this point, I think Pokemon is cementing itself as a permanent fixture in pop culture: its not just a fad like our parents thought it would be when they were buying us trading cards back in the day. I saw some guy in the lobby of a law office today playing a Pokemon collector's edition 3ds in a business suit, like something straight out of a commercial. Pokemon is more popular than I think we care to admit.

I don't get the reasoning that "kids play it" = bad.
As a kid I played all kinds of adult games, on the N64 I had RE2, ShadowMan, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, Turok 1 and 2, Conkers', and more. On my friend's PS1 I played all the RE games, Silent Hill, GTA and several shooters like Medal of Honor.
Adults are not the actual audience of pokemon, the actual audience is manchildren on the autism spectrum. I played Pokemon as akid and that shit was already fucking boring on gen 2.
