Now that I think about it, Gerhman says you'll forget the dream and you'll wake up, but doing the game you come across other hunters like Eileen who say they used to partake in those dreams but no longer do so, but they still seem to remember and often participate in hunts after. I wonder if Gerhman modified it so people forget or if he's only assuming they'll forget.

They forget the dream, but they remember they used to dream. Also it seems they don't forget it immediately but rather little by little like a real dream where it's clear right after you wake up and then gets fuzzier during the day
