Have yet to try the new DLC expansion. I will someday.

I really enjoyed the movement system, found myself aimlessly roaming the city quite a few times.

All in all, it was a positive experience.

I spent almost all my time before I got a gun dropkicking everything, it was the most efficient way to kill the enemies, especially when I learned that if they can't stand up they automatically die.

Honestly though, I found the regular zombies had waaaaaay too much health when you're using melee. That, and when you get a gun if you can click on heads you never need to worry about anything ever.

I like it a lot, it has many flaws, but it's superb where it matters. Zombie bashing is top notch, parkour and movement is great (buggy in DLC included), the map in the base game is spectacular. The story is shit, there are bugs, performance is shoddy, the beginning of the game is very slow and you get your salad tossed by everything.
Looking back at it, it was a positive experience. And I have a very short tolerance for bullshit from games.

It's like if Dead Island was good, funny since it was made by the same devs.
There is a good amount of replayability. Even more fun with friends, but that's a given.
Not many people try the NightHunter mode but it is one of my favorite multiplayer modes still today and I would give it a shot. The tension amplifies the whole intensity of the game and just makes it a more satisfying experience.

I honestly liked it. Combat felt nice and "beefy". Felt like I was bludgeoning/slicing a piece of rotting meat. But for some reason I cant find myself playing it for a second play through. But that's a personal thing.

I liked it a lot, I can't say why exactly, but everything clicked.

I liked the characters, Crane turned out to be pretty endearing and the setting was neat. Plot had some nice twists, and I liked how Rais goes from this scary evil bad man to a pathetic attention whore over the course of the game while the focus shifts to keeping survivors alive.

The Buggy is pretty fun, especially in co-op against night hunters

Probably my favourite game of 2015 alongside Mad Max.

The production value is fucking great. Crane comments on everything, tonnes of side quests, gory visceral combat, it was atmospheric as fuck and at night, it really felt like a challenge. Sure, the QTE final boss was a downer but we all know the climb up the tower was the real boss here.

Also, the buggy is just too much fun.

Getting the offroad suspension upgrade helps a lot, so try to get that ASAP. Challenges, races and bounties are worth a good amount of EXP.

I don't think I've ever used it. Or maybe it wasn't in The Following.
I didn't like the endings for either option in that DLC, but whatever. It's probably canon that Crane turns into a Night Hunter, rather than Harran getting nuked.

Recently started a new save so I can play the game again from the beginning up to the DLC. Currently before going into the school, doing side quests and snagging supply drops. I forgot how fun it was to just mindlessly run through the area.

And this time, I knew how to handle annoying enemies like goons and the spitting dudes. Molotovs and burning ninja stars will deal with anything. Molotov groups, ninja star single enemies, will even take down virals with a single hit and silently, until you get the stomp skill.

I enjoyed the original up until right before I was gonna hit the next zone. I got the grappling hook and had done most all the side quests and felt like a god. Zombies just felt like a chore instead of being either a challenge or a fun distraction. The story was painfully clichéd and I just couldn't continue cuz it was so cringe worthy. Like the heavy handed foreshadowing of "The Volatile Nest" that young kid kept talking about, and then the actual mission was boring and rushed. I dunno, the pacing felt really weird in the story. The side quests were a lot more fun for me and once those were finished up I was kinda bored.

I heard playing on Hard was a decent difficulty so I may try the game again on Hard after I get my new rig in a couple weeks.

The only reason to play on hard is to up your legend level, which is rendered useless as the balance between you upgrading and the zombies upgrading is wrong, or to wander around at night with things not showing on the map. If I could just turn off the icons on normal/easy, I would.

I don't consider it worse. Kyle acts according to his motivation and does everything to obtain what he still thinks is the cure. Him turning into a volatile isn't a happy ending, sure, but it's also not a dead-end. It's pretty ambiguous when between two endings one is a full stop and the other allows for continuity. I feel like they're planning on incorporating something like be the zombie into the singleplayer story.

Does anyone here know how to fix the game's stuttering?

I've tried vsync, capping framerate, different resolutions, different refresh rates, windowed mode, and turning it off an on again.

Game simply won't not stutter every half second. Especially when I move.

SPECS: 4790k @ 4.5ghz, 280x.

I'd say the worst part of it is he made it outside of the quarantine. The devs obviously wanted to go for the "Oh so ironic" ending, without realizing how stupid it is. I know exactly what you're saying. When he walked out into an uninfected area the first thought that came to my mind was genuinely "Wait did he travel back in time?". It took some time to realize that Harran was not infected in its entirety. Throughout the game we're shown how the infected area has been cordoned off by walls, army posts, bombs, any means necessary in general. And then there's an open sewer that Kyle just stumbles upon.

And while we're on the subject. When Tolga and Fatin contacted you for the last time the subtitles said garbled static, but the speech pretty clearly said something like "there's a huge arena". I wonder if that's a hint at further DLC.

Put everything back to default, vsync off.

In Nvidia Control Panel or the AMD equivalent put vsync on in there and the actual fix: enable triple buffering.

Can't confirm this but every game I have ever had that issue with such as Darksiders 2 rerelease, triple buffering fixed it every time.
