I tried to plug the PS4 on my TV using the yellow cable that I used with PS1/2/3 as well just fine, but it's not displaying an image

Turn off console for a bit, replug console, make sure tv is on first. For some reason, the PS4 overloads the hdmi port if you have it on before the device, I had this issue this week, turning both off for a bit fixed it.

With PS3 there used to be like this magic reset options thing when you started it up and hold the power button for 10seconds until it started beeping, which reset all video/audio settings and did a search. Try that. Or use Displayport like a real man.
