Famallama, there's 0 evidence at all backing up that claim. The only ass pull you have is that the people in Majula are hollowing out cuz they don't have souls, your character is literally loaded full of them so that shit isn't even a good reason. The game got gutted halfway through development and they stitched a half ass world in as best as they could in time for release. You want your head canon, fine, but don't be a condescending cunt

I might be willing to believe this if they hadn't set a very convincing precedent for connecting regions in DS1 so phenomenally well. Bloodborne even had more cohesion despite the mindfuckery everywhere.
