How did this snoozefest get good reviews?
>>
>>329418295
Because while it was a short game it was a good experience that was worth a playthrough or 2.
>>
>>329418615
kek, the game will be forgotten in a few years
>>
>>329418615

Pretty much this. Yea, it's a little overrated at times, but it's still got some great things going for it. The visuals are a treat, as is the soundtrack, and it was a pretty neat take on the co-op concept even if it was more of a novel idea than anything revolutionary.

Exclusive.

>told a story without saying anything
>Let players bond through exploration and teaching

OP obviously never had a long term scarfbro
>>
>>329418295
>bought the journey collector's ed used for $5
>fl0w sucked
>played flower
>fell in love
Flower turned me into a homo and it was worth every second

Journey is okay tho

Doesn't make what he said any less true.
>>
>>329418694

It came out 4 years ago, and is still pretty popular.

you and all this will be forgotten ina few years

Not as quickly as your post :)

this butthurt is beautiful, don't mind me, keep defending this shitty game
>>

>no argument
>"lol, I'll just call them butthurt. That'll prove my point!"

You need to be 18+ to post here, kiddo.

Journey is pretty much the walking simulator done right. You go through the same locations every time you play, but you play with different people each time, so your experience will be different each time.

It also looks pretty gorgeous for a PS3 game.

It is a shame they couldn't have put in some extra challenge. Hell, the only real problem that could arise was losing length to your scarf in the underground section. And even then, the tower climb right away pretty much negated the scarfs once you activated the whole thing

rekt
>>
>>329418295
Because most people don't have narcolepsy and can play a game for two hours without passing out

>>329418694
It's already been out for a few years.
>>
>>329421989
It didn't need the extra challenge.
>>
Is it any good solo?

At least it didn't try fucking HARD to be pretentious as shit
>>
>>329422260
co-op makes it a much different experience, but i don't mind playing pieces of it solo sometimes. its nice.
>>
>>329422360
yes it fucking is
>>
>>329422059

It could have used a little extra something to make the experiencing more rewarding. Might not have been a necessity, but having challenge would certainly give the replay value a greater boost
>>
>>329422471
I disagree. Having more challenge would just make that single part/instance where it increases more tedious. I found the experience entirely rewarding on its own, as it was. I didn't come away from it wanting more challenging sections or platforming, etc. That probably would have slowed it down too much.
>>
>>329418829
This. I couldn't have asked for a better first time with journey thanks to some random person.
>>
>>329422595

Not quite, if they could have worked in something that would make the co-op more useful, it might have worked. Not saying like combat, but maybe if you moved to an area and hid, you could create a noise to distract the monsters so the other player could move, and then they could in turn do the same until you both got through. Maybe it might have made things a little slower, but that would just depend on the cooperativeness of the two players.
>>
>find another player
>have to go to the bathroom
>hit start to sit down
>come back and they're sitting waiting
>>
>>329423005
It still would have slowed down the game, or worse, made you feel like you were having your hand held by the other player if you didn't figure out the mechanic as quick as they did. The game isn't about cooperation to solve puzzles. Adding in something like that in a one off way would feel completely out of place.
>>
>>329423080
They probably just wanted the trophy
>>
>>329423156

Not quite, the game was meant to be played alone or with someone. And it was never hard to figure out things like hiding from the monsters. Still, something like some challenge would have added to the experience so that there'd be more incentive to replay it often. As it is, you kind of have to refrain from it for a while before going back. I can imagine in some cases, people probably even begin completely fresh without the bonus costume just to make things a little challenging.
>>
>>329418295
Good ass game with somewhat decent replayability. Plus a unique multiplayer that made going on an adventure with a complete stranger a memorable experience.
>>
>itt aspies and autist dont know how to take a second, relax and experience something without XP bars and levels

Holy hell
>>
>>329423783

Whoever said anything about levels or XP?

Don't fall for bad bait anon. Anybody that enjoys vidya can at least see the appeal of this game even if they didn't like it personally. I'm sure a solid majority had a good time with it. Me and my gf cried tears of happiness the first time we played just because we started with the same guy and it was all genuinely new to us.
>>
>>329423843
I think he was shitting on the guy who keeps going on about how the game should of had more challenge instead of appreciating it for the experience it is.
>>
>>329424287

That's literally not the same shit as wanting levels and EXP, though. It's just wanting something more so the game can be replayed more often.
