It's all extremely linear and tells you exactly where to go. There's no backtracking and no collectibles outside of energy tanks and missile packs (one missile per pack).
Also, you can't skip cutscenes.

basically it's a side story like Prime Hunters.
I will give Other M credit for this: 3D movement in that game was spot on. While it still would have been better with the nunchuck/analog stick it really did feel like a 3D Super Metroid to me as far as running around and jumping goes.
