In literally every game since Zero Mission - except Fusion (last game chronologically) and Brawl, Samus is portrayed with a fat ass.
Is there any canonical reason for this?

Is Samus supposed, canonically, to have a fit or a fat ass? I know Other M showcased her mental flaws, that she was not the perfect woman. Could they have done the same about her ass? They made it fat to show gamers "Look, her body isn't perfect, it has its flaws, too"?
