The introduction of shipping fags and waifu faggotry wasn't awakening.
Shit was there since day 1 yo.
The whole support thing was clunky as fuck in the beginning and no one cared when path if radiance did it.
I didn't mind the way awakening had shitload of marriages and kids and whatnot because that was its gimmick- time traveling kids from the pairiings you as a player make.
It served it's purpose. Although it really did try to make the females a selling point because they wanted those otaku bucks in Jap land.
Fates? Glad the supports there but the kids really do feel forced as fuck. It feels like a carry-over mechanic from awakening that shouldn't be there unless there's a time gap.
Maybe next time they could make it so that two games down the line you can import a save with your ships and have some units based of that.

It would be nice if nintendo just offered a professional translation of the game's audio, interface, and text without any changes other than language. If a couple of sjws cry muhsoggyknee (keep in mind these people don't buy most of the games they talk shit about or the ones that try to appease them anyway), then so be it. You keep the core audience happy, and people new to the game can get it in all its glory without importing a jap copy. This is all kind of a pipe dream at this point, but maybe the new yakuza boss turned ceo might change that.

when American society does. they don't censor on a whim. they censor to match current localized laws and beliefs.
They won't stop. They know people will buy the games anyways and the only people who complain will be older demographic and the waifu crowd, which isn't their target audience. I think Nintendo doesn't actually give a fuck about gamers over the age of 18 at all and if you think about it they never have.
Not that I agree with any of their policies, but it's just the way it is. They're surely hurting themselves and missing a huge opportunity by refusing to acknowledge the adult audience.
Thank god that the 3DS has been blown wide open and no matter how many more games they censor you can bet your bottom dollar that there's some group of turbonerds working to hack the game files and uncensor everything for you. I'm currently on hour 5 of trying to install Bravely Second on my 3DS, decrypt it, put the decrpyted files on my PC, dump some files, apply a patch, and rebuild it so I can play with low-poly modeled girls with lewd outfits. I can't wait.
