So? If you don't like it, get out of my thread.

You sure?
It's a good game, but most of /v/ can't enjoy anything semi popular without being contrarian
You really sure?

Don't ever reply to my posts again.

But /v/ generally likes this game, dumbass. Doom and MGS3 were popular and /v/ likes them.

Earthbound is cool.

Might have been the most influential game on my youth.
I fucking love it, and how it's gone to inspire some great games in its wake.
Never played, never cared to play it.
It's cool.
As much as I enjoyed Earthbound on the whole, I found that the most enjoyable parts where Onett, Jeff's intro quest, Fourside, and the Lilluput Caverns, with everything else sort of being bleh.
It's definitely a fun game, and despite the clunky inventory system it does have a lot of Quality of Life improvements over more classic JRPGs to the overall formula which make it fairly worthwhile to play even today, such as automatic wins when you're high enough level.
It's got some annoying factors, of course: Even with automatic wins if Ness has the Casey Bat, farming the Sword of Kings for Poo under Stonehenge can be a fucking nightmare of a timesink. Not as bad as the stupid tails needed for the best equips in FFIV, of course, but it's not exactly a fun time.
Overall it's one of the more memorable JRPGs I played as a kid, and I've gone back and replayed it within the last five years without any major issues.
Meme game that /v/ only likes because nintendo and nostalgia.

I think my favorite part of it was that it was set in the present time. Being a kid with a baseball bat healing with hamburgers was a nice changeup from the RPG standard of "Fantasy" or "Space Fantasy"
Good game but intensely overrated. I still haven't finished it yet because the gameplay is such a chore compared to bigger and better JRPGs of the same time period and beyond.

Finished it ona SNES emulator on my phonerecently
Was pretty comfy, that type of game that you play for a max of 2 hours at a time as the gameplay wasnt exactly engaging but still fun to play when youre taking a shit or cant sleep etc.
I have no idea why theres a sudden influx of indie devs with Earthbound as their main inspiration though, it wasnt really phenomenal except maybe the end
Definitely one of my favorite series.
