To be fair, it always took me longer to cut the hydra's head off as a mage than as a strider or fighter.
But no level scaling is great. Nothing feels better than becoming stronger and being able to overcome enemies that wrecked your shit early on.
And if the bandits on the way to Witchwood are bothering you, just go at night. No bandits, just wolves.

Eh, don't really agree, as other anons have pointed out those are all pretty easy (apart from the lizards because as I recall I couldn't find a way out and wanted to come back later). However, the game dos seem to have weird difficulty spikes where you're obviously supposed to come back later, but the lack of indication before you enter can be a pain, I remember something to do with the water temple and it being quite easy to get to but hard inside, and in many cases I found myself having to engage an enemy to figure out how hard a quest was, but the game doesn't always give you a lighter scenario to figure it out. Still enjoyed the game, and I know people will probably just say gg, but there should be some way to figure out whether you're ready before travelling for a long ass time and engaging an enemy, although from what I recall this was only ever an issue for about the first ~10 hours anyway.

I picked strider as my starting classshould've gone fighterand on the road to witchwood there's this bandit boss in metal equipment that takes no damage and can kill me in three hits. I don't remember this part being this hard in the console version, but that probably was because I had already got strenght gains as fighter.
I just killed the hydra and cleaned the sewer in the starting town. Suddenly the game told me about an island and a woman who you can only find at night transports you to said island.

Switching is actually the better option in normal mode. You get pretty good stats in all areas so you can be whatever you want, rather than fucking everything up by playing mage for the whole game and then switching to warrior. Minmaxing is only needed in hard mode and not really even there.

Don't worry about spending points you get them by the bucket load, the game encourages you to change classes so it's plentiful with the amount of points you can spend. Stats don't help anywhere near as much in this game as gear does, gear is a lot more important than min-maxing your stats.
Obviously levelling a warrior to 100 and then switching to sorcerer isn't the best of ideas but you can change classes multiple times and it won't gimp your character. Min-maxing will help a little but gear is more important in this game, you don't need to min-max to be able to clear all the content.

The jump attacks are good but the warrior is really good at dealing big damage to multiple enemies at once. It has huge arc attacks that make fighting groups really satisfying. It also has Arc of Might which is a hilarious one-shot move that if you actually manage to pull off can fuck up the toughest enemies.
I won't like though, warrior doesn't offer as much as an Assassin or a Magick Archer and you do rely heavily on pawns to cover the bases you can't. It's not for everyone but I guarantee if you stick with it you'll have quite a lot of fun.

Sometimes your pawn wont have the right buffs you need for a particular enemy, or they are swamped by enemies and cant buff you when it runs out. Most people take to carrying multiple weapons to get around this, dont worry about that now though, only in BBI will elements really matter.
if you know youre going for a fight say "help" and the pawn will buff you and youre team, if they use the wrong buff then pick them up and put them down, repeat till they gt the right buff if they have several equipped. Again, this is stuff you dont really need at the moment, its more important on BBI.

Depending on if you have a pawn in your party who has done that quest they will say different things, youve either a pirated version of the game or very low level party. If one of the pawns has done the quest they will tell you "its too strong! we must run!" where if they havent done the quest before they will just comment on what the situation, not the quest itself.
Youll find at times pawns will be saying "I know the way master" and would run off ahead of you, this is a pawn that has done the quest you are currently on. Pawns actually do act differently depending on their knowledge m8.

You'll have to do some of the quests in the basement of the pawn guild to earn RC (the first one is easy because the objective is on the chimeny right next to where the prayerbook was back in your hometown), then go to the peddler in the encampment by the riftstone and buy a potion of the kind you want. You don't have to worry about buying more than one though because you can dupe them cheap at the Black Cat in Gran Soren.

I was a strider at the time. I took advantage of the cliff overlooking the room and spend almost an hour sniping them. This game has some serious issues. Not the difficulty, because its very manageable, but the enemy variation is trash. Been playing for 14 hours and I'm getting tired of seeing goblins and wolves on the roads. Fucking trash game, it makes me so angry. It would even be okay if you didn't have to spend so much time on the roads, the travelling time are abysmal and there's nothing to do or look at while you travel since every enemy is the same and there are no noteworthy landmarks that you feel like exploring because the loot is garbage too.

Go to bitterblack isle if you're so great. Lots of enemy variation there. Use portcrystals to place warp points that you can warp to with ferrytones. You get one doing the everfall quest, which is 10 minutes into getting to gran soren. Buy ferrystones from Fournival or at the black cat. I think the PC version just fucking gives you the eternal ferrystone as well.
What female armor generally looks the best? Light, heavy or cloth?

In between the time you can first accept that quest and the cutoff you can do 5 or so other sidequests, and 2 notice boards worth of genocide, not to mention combat xp. That gets you enough levels to not explode.
