Fucking sonyggers all around the world are like "it's great!! masterpiece!!". It's the definition of an unpolished gem, it's fun, but don't expect goty material. Visually, it's an excellent Mad Max game. Technically, there are quite a few hitches.
I had a lot of fun with it though, 7/10.
Dragon Age Inquisition. I tried loving it, I really did. But it didn't live up to MY hype. Oh and Watch Dogs, but eh, we all fell for that one.

It's super mediocre. You spend a significant portion of your play time driving from location to location to do a trivial task like take out a single sniper by just harpooning him or going to a scrap yard and playing hide and go seek with collectibles.
Even the big bases are just "break in, fight 5 melee guys, pseudopuzzleplatform section to next fight, blow up the objective(s) to take the base". This is how you spend 75+% of the playtime.

Mass Effect 2. Instead of improving the first game's clunky inventory, copy/paste worlds and the mako's handling, they just cut it all out completely. Thus started the generic tps stage of the series.
ME1 had it's flaws and was very rough around the edges but it fucking tried. There was ambition and passion. They took all that potential and thought, 'nah too much work. lets just throw it all out'.

I thought the game looked good visually. Driving your car and fighting is pretty good and its got good atmosphere.
but my biggest complaint about it is that it gets very boring. Clearing the maps becomes a chore after a while. If youre a compulsive completionist youre going to suffer.
Its also a game that youll probably finish once and forget about. So i'd advize you to wait untill the price had dropped if youre still thinking about buying it.

Nobody could have predicted how bad Brink would be. The promotional material show-cased the gunplay and parkour mechanics which were actually really solid. It wasn't until we played it that we realised the utterly retarded and avoidable design that resulted in medic v medic choke point 24/7. I think that must have been one of the first online multiplayer only games aiming to be competitive but having support dropped a month after release. Those seem to be ten a penny these days.

I downloaded (pirated) it for an entire week with my 3rd world internet, when I installed and played it felt ok. It was kind of fun creating your own species, but holy fuck the game was so void of everything.

Assassin's Creed 3. I loved the series 1-Brotherhood, flaws and all, but nothing could prepare me for how awful this game would be. They completely bungled a badass time period, the setting didn't play to the series' strengths, it was very obviously designed for first time players with training missions into sequence six, and the mission structures were mind-bogglingly bad.
I still get mad just thinking about what the series could be if they made improvements upon every release while avoiding the annual AC game. I have brief hope that Ubi will slow down their development and put some thought and effort into the series again, but they won't get a dime from me until they prove it. On the bright side, this game caused me to never pre-order again.

It delivered all the things we were promised SoC was going to have but got cut during its long and troubled development such as a true open world, all factions being joinable and hostile friendly or neutral to you depending on your actions, a great number of handmade sidequests instead of just "kill 15 mutant dogs"
It wasn't without its problems to be sure, but hey when your game is made by slavs what can you really expect?

I really didn't mind ME1's combat. The awful frame rate was a much bigger problem. Biotics are nerfed to fuck in ME2 as well. I found it overall much less fun from a gameplay standpoint.
Yeah the elevators sucked and the inventory was a mess, but they didn't even try to build on the concepts or improve them. They just cut everything that people criticised instead of trying to fix it, which is a classic Bioware move.
Mass Effect 2 was still a great game, don't get me wrong. The sqauddies had more to say and more personality than 1 which I liked. It just wasn't what I expected. It almost totally abandoned the original vision of the series.

That shadow of murder game was absolute garbage and I didn't even have any expectations for it. The first 2 hours are good when you're plopped into the world but then you realize the whole game is killing the same single enemy over and over and over again and then following an Npc in every mission super slowly while they tall about nothing for 20 minutes. The plot of that whole game could have been finished in 4 missions. It also very anticlimactic. When I finished I didn't even feel like I had accomplished anything. I didn't even believe the game was over.
