There was some tone shit wasn't there? Each element/color made a certain tone and somewhere in the game you hear the order of tones and have to try to recreate it in the final boss just by ear. That's what I remember reading anyway.I'm completely deaf in one ear, partially deaf in the other, and did not have internet back when I played this. yeah there are some crystals or whatever in a room in Terra Tower that you have to pass through to get to the dragon god, and it plays the sound you're supposed to make in that room. It's never specifically stated that you have to do that during the final battle with the Devourer of Time, though.

I know people cry bullshit over Crono, Lucca, and Marle apparently being too strong for any other humans to fight, but we don't know enough details about how they died to call bullshit on. Doesn't matter how strong you are, if someone put a bullet in your head, knife in your throat, etc you're dead. Lucca we know the most details about but I don't think we ever actually see how she died in the segment you travel back in time to save Kid.
