I always thought the Fire Emblem fanbase was good before the waifu-simulator jokes started taking the forefront. There were always people talking about best girls in the series, but there were more often jokes about character's growths and RNG and whatever. Now every Fire Emblem thread is full of cancer.
Demon's Souls community was great before the series got "mainstream" with yearly installments. People genuinely believed the "every death is your fault" mentality, and telling someone to git gud wasn't pure shit posting.
I've never known the Metroid community to be bad. Just salty that they don't have new games.
