Honestly I've only played the first one but the platforming was really simple run-of-the-mill double jumpy shenanigans, elementary stuff that wasn't groundbreaking. And the low angle of the camera made judging distances needlessly difficult. Very basic combat on top of that. It was like a typical Sony game, just take a Nintendo masterpiece, and take from it only the surface elements to create a knockoff carbon copy worth a dime a dozen. I did liked the art style and humour though.

yeah the first one is alittle basic, it's alot more along the Crash Bandicoot route with aesthetics and whatnot.
the second got edgy in the best way possible, Jak actually had some character development, the story evolves outside of the first games setting and makes relative sense in doing so.
the third one is dope as fuck, it's the peak of the series by developers who learnt from previous titles and just kept perfecting their formula with every installment.
basically, talk your ignorant shit somewhere else or actually play it and appreciate the real golden years of the PS2 era.
