If you watched the original video you'd probably wonder how the hell he did that (the informative part), how Mario gains speed, and how objects react to him/how collision checking works (the interesting part), and how much time he spent gathering all that speed so he could teleport through those meshes on the hill (the pointlessly autistic part)

important thing to understand here, is the difference between a full run and just the level. when you're looking at just the level, obviously you need an A press. looking at the full run, however you dont have to press A inside the level at all, it was pressed before the level, and counts for the previous level's A presses.
the reason he doesn't say "0 A presses" for that level is because yes, it was pressed at some point. it helps differentiate between a level that ACTUALLY involves 0 A presses, and levels where an A press involved is actually pressed in a different level
