you've never shot an ak have you, the bolt is large and heavy and sits above the fulcrum of the buttstock and secondly over the grip slamming the back of the receiver if the recoil spring is too weak, making it go back and a little up. Even if all the parts are on point the you got a large mass traveling back and above all points of resistance. About the only guns that go STRAIGHT back are bolt actions with buttstocks that comes up to or above the fulcrum.
Not that it's hard to counter-act, but if you let the gun do it's own thing that's actually a pretty natural follow up.

This anon is correct, under the condition that the rifle is shouldered. If it is being fired from the hip, then that is probably what it would look like. Even a 100lb girl shooting an AK shouldered would not look like that. The rounds simply do not have enough energy to push back that far against a body even if only loosely braced and relaxed core.
