I'm honestly thinking my time here is almost over. The decline in quality in both discussion and thread content over the last little while is almost staggering. While I know /v/ was never great for completely troll-free discussion, what it did have was really good when it was on point. It just seems that good discussion is few and far between and the amount of shitposting/baiting/trolling/whatever has increased exponentially in the last few years.
Making threads is pointless as the only ones that last beyond five posts are obvious bait/shitpost threads where you have to get lucky and hope good discussion comes about around the 50+ reply mark. Opening a thread with porn or a slightly off-topic but still relevant picture often yielded decent discussion if the topic was brought up fast enough, but with the new mods deleting everything it really seems that "no fun allowed" is the new motto.
Speaking of "no fun allowed", posters are now so obsessed with memeing/countermemeing/anti-memeing that even on the off chance something funny happens, it's destroyed in moments. Everything is a "meme" now and that means everything is either taken too seriously, blown out of proportion, or shot before it can get out of the gate.
I don't know. I used to enjoy wasting my time here, but more and more it just seems like an actual waste of life.

I've played through this game a dozen times and this was my reaction. I knew the game said it was supposed to be useful for stuff like this, but I only ever discovered the chus chus reaction to it and the one time you have to use it to increase your magic on some talking bat.
