No other game in the series can compare. They all rehashed from 64. This was a thing of beauty. Helped elevate this game to Godlike.

this and mega man x, awesome gameplay and music. i played these two so much when i was younger, but didn't like the later titles as much.

I had this when I was younger. Had a cart and the console and controllers, but we couldn't find the power cord anywhere. Couldn't find one to buy either so we just sold it.

Also worth noting that the composer for Star Fox, Hajime Hirasawa, only worked on that game before leaving Nintendo and the series. Thus the SNES game will always have a unique sound when compared to the rest of the games, which pretty much stuck with Koji Kondo's style since Star Fox 64.

It's amazing, really. The rock and jazz grooves from SF are some of the best of the SNES. Kinda surreal how different the music for the series became; it's still pretty good today, but damn. Star Fox was on a whole 'nother level back in the day.

SMT IV had a really good soundtrack. I loved the overworld theme.
Holy fuck does it make me feel things.

SF music really was godlike. I actually somewhat prefer the snes game over 64 partly because of the soundtrack.

Naganuma did some really awesome stuff with the JSR games, along with Ollie King, they sort of captured a very particular aesthetic that really only existed in the late 90s early 2000s

OP is fucking right.

I'd go further and say SNES Fox was better than 64. It's still the best in the series.

think that hajime wakai was the sound designer and ultimately the arranger or sequencer of all music in sf64 though koji kondo did write a few pieces

Star Fox Assault is most orchestrations of SF64 music, that said most are better than the originals
>>

I like the reorchestrations in Assault, a long with the original works.

>SNES Fox was better than 64. It's still the best in the series.

But that's absolutely correct, what's to debate?
