From a gameplay perspective, you can make them rounded into doing a lot of things good but nothing generally better than things more specialized for poking, range, heavy damage, etc. For a hero archetype, you generally see them starting or filling the role of a jack of all trades and that kind of ties into it since swords are so middle of the road in the eyes of designers.

I think this has surpassed ther Red Queen from DMC4 as my favourite video game sword.
I already liked the Moonlight Greatsword but this version is the coolest shit ever. Not enough good pictures of it around though.

right here nigguh. BLU had the best aesthetic in the game IMO. Learning spells was so rewarding and I felt invincible with all my armor swaps. I remember the time I was trying to learn battery charge for like 4 hours. Then looked at my spell list and realized I must have learned it a few hours earlier without noticing.
