Risky's Revenge is pretty underwhelming and probably the worst of the three, the original while fine by GBC standards is just slow, Pirate's Curse is pretty fucking sweet though, best one by far.
Haven't made up my mind about HGH yet, the gameplay is fine from what little the demo gives you but i'm not really super impressed, that's not to say i'm not gonna play the hell out of it, i did drop $250 on it.
