You just suck. But that's ok since basically everyone is terrible when they first get the game. Try to unlock more items, characters and artifacts and get a feel for it. Get used to using your survival abilities to avoid big damage. The usual.

You just have to get a feel for it. Unless you die early every time you'll unlock incredibly useful items in no time.
You can ascend to literal godhood if you get the right items at the start of a run. Luck with item drops definitely plays a big part in how hard or easy it's gonna be for you. I don't know if it's fair to say that the game is always possible. The possibility of getting majorly fucked over is just the nature of roguelikes.

I didn't realize that Loader was this easy. Just get like 2 wicked rings/some decent crit and you basically win. I looped the whole game once and did the first level 3 times before fighting providence too.
