I'm not 100% sure what youre talking about since i havent played THAT much SC3 but one quick google search revealed that Li Long is a unlockable character in the PS2 version, hope that helps.

IIRC every Namco 3D fighter run better on PS3.

I'd recommend learning how to play with a Dualshock, but SC isn't that execution heavy anyways.
The game is as dead and alive as you make it up to be; if you can find people to play with, then go for it, but if you are going to play online, forget about it and hope for SCVI.
