If it's a singleplayer name, I recently discovered that naming your character "anon" was so neutral it fits any character in any setting. I always stick with that for my main save.
Blade&Soul is coming out in 9 days and I already know that I'll spend half the day customizing my characters while everyone else is having fun exploring and learning the game.
Fuck, why can't they allow us to download the game and mess around in the character creator beforehand? No gameplay, name reservations or server selection. Just allowing us to mess around with the sliders would be fantastic. I've never been a presets guy.

For names, I just use my online alias, which is just a lame combination of my first and last name so it's comfortable to me.
I tend to make characters look like me so there isn't much of an issue there. I feel bad sometimes though as I always pick the most generic races (human).
What I struggle with is classes. I like agile characters but I don't like being dick ass thieves. I live swords but I don't want to be a paladin. If it involves guns and shit I have no fucking clue as I have no sentiment towards any sort of gun type.
I really wish I was creative and could role play just for the heck of it. Instead I just project myself onto the character.

Class: A usually always go with a mage-build for my first playthrough or, if mage either isn't an option or is a clearly bad choice, a dexterity based build.
The real difficulty setns in when it comes to customising the character model. I can spend hours doing that.

Can we all agree on something here? Sliders are a lazy character customization feature disguised as an amazing one. Typically it takes the place of more customization options like hair or clothing. Look at MGS5. Oh cool, you can control how high and wide your nostrils are, but here are three hair types and this character will never even come close to looking like you.
Now if it has both sliders and good options for everything else, of course that's a good thing.
