8x MSAA for example is almost no noticeable difference from 4x but literally cuts your FPS in half
Don't just put everything to as high as it goes so you can go "hurr durr master race"
Put model and texture detail as high as possible, shadows and shaders really high, 2x MSAA, and if you still have a good frame rate, keep upping things. If you're not actually looking at the graphical differences vs performance hit and are instead just putting everything as high as it goes you're a tard
Also that CPU is shit. Like really shit. That's bottlenecking hard. Turn down shadows.

Check the bios settings. It should have an option for high performance mode or something. Reset to default bios settings then save and exit, go back in and set it to performance mode and see if that helps.

The dumb fuck didnt install his cpu cooler correctly and now its throttling/melting. Tell him to reinstall it and use new thermal paste. If that doesnt work do it for him, or buy a new cpu cooler.

I actually had a 2600K till last week, OP. I'm sure that is the bottleneck. Though it clocks at 3.1 i think or something alike, i think it doesn't have many functions of more advanced processors. I changed mine to an i5 4690. Slightly better clock and definitely better gameplay experience, with GTA 5 especially. and i only have 8 gb ram and my r9 270.
