Any game made there will be mobile game-tier casual shit designed around sitting down for 15 minutes at a time, since that's what most Korean players want. Verminion's greatest crime is the time it was released.
The 3.1 story quests last maybe an hour with no new primal fight, Void ark was meh, the EX fight felt like it should have been in the Heavensward base game and Diadem fell flat due to poor multiplayer design. Given the mediocre patch content, with all the attention Verminion got in Live Letters and such it felt as though it had bogarted much of Square Enix's budget and attention- exacerbating the evaporation of good faith in an increasingly disgruntled player population frustrated by Heavensward's poor endgame and failure to innovate.
2.1 was a good standard for content release.
3.1 is fucking abysmal. And it's mainly the fault of the production committee for being downright niggardly with their budgeting for what is unquestionably Square Enix's biggest cash cow (as they try to push FFXV and VII:Re out their collective corporate anus).
What MMO players want is enough questing and raid content that they aren't bored to fucking tears only one month after a major content patch. And for that SE needs to triple its current budget.

If you can find someone to craft leve turn-in items for you, it's a complete joke. Your biggest limit will be your leve allowance.
If you can't, it's going to be pretty terrible since doing the crafts at the appropiate level yourself is a chore and HQ is rarely guaranteed. You can do Ixal dailies for a boost, but they're limited too and you might want to spend your daily allowances on other stuff.

It's as dumbed down an RTS as it can possibly be, it can't get any simpler than that as far as controls go.
You're not a consolefag I hope, if you're trying to play an RTS with a controller, well I don't know what to tell you. It's entirely your fault in that case.
As for balance, that's just the nature of anything PvP, you adapt or you die - this isn't the 'everybody gets a medal' kind of content that you get in PvE.
If they haven't even addressed WAR/AST/SMN dominance in ACTUAL PvP, what makes you think they're going to give a shit about verminion balance.
