I am also setting my hopes extremely low and automatically going to presume the game is shit. After das2 I am very cautious to get hyped. But if I set my expectations incredibly low, I should enjoy the game even if it's a little good.

Some things I want in a Souls game but have never gotten:
1. Reduced grinding and much less RNG for farming. It's never fun to have to spend who knows how long trying to get a 10% drop rate item that will help you upgrade your weapon. It takes your personal control away from your game and leaves it up to the whims of the RNG gods.
2. Visually-amazing spells. Just look at Dragon's Dogma and make the game's spells look like that. I'm sick of Generic Fire Ball Variant #150 and Pew Pew Soul Arrow Variant #409.
3. Bosses that don't have blatantly stupid and obvious blindspots. I should not be able to beat a boss by hugging its ass (like Asylum Demon), or sidestrafing it (like Pursuer) or counter-rolling it (like Maria).
4. Finally, please give us interesting weapon visual effects when we imbue them with elemental properties. For example, a Fire Longsword should constantly be on fire. Similarly, a Crystal Halberd SHOULD LOOK LIKE IT HAS A TON OF CRYSTALS COMING OUT OF IT instead of looking like a generic Halberd.

I love the look of these huge weapon arts, but I'm pretty sure they're going to be basically useless. All of them take more than a second of charging up, cost mana and stamina, and don't look like they do anything you actually need to do.
They're never going to hit anyone who's actually awake in pvp, and I don't see any reason to use them over normal attacks in pve. I'm afraid they're going to be slightly better black knight weapon R2s.

According to some interview or something, longbows are going to be strong but require you to be stationary to fire, and might have a charged shot thing. Shortbows are fast and can fire after rolling, but do less damage per hit.

I'm personally getting the PC version for three main reasons:
1. 60 fps. No brainer that this is a must in action games like Souls.
2. Graphics mods that will make the game as beautiful as it can be. Seriously, pic related DESERVES to be played on super high resolutions with graphics mods to perfect it.
3. You'll avoid wasting time grinding for low drop items. Just cheat engine it in. I once wasted 4 hours trying to get Pure Bladestone in Demon's Souls. Never again will I do shit like that.

They were actually really good. Most of them have a couple different moves, so the opponent doesn't know which is coming, if any at all because you can also feint into just a regular attack. You also got hyper armor with the greatsword and mace. The longsword had a guelard break for one of its arts.

Ps4 all the way. Souls on pc are a cheaters haven. Everyone uses CE to get whatever the fuck they want while with Ps4 there really isn't much choice but to get the work done like everyone else. I haven't played Lords of the Fallen so I can't speak for myself but if you look up the game anywhere the word Souls will pop up 99% of the time. The game apparently uses a lot of the mechanics from the Souls series, such as experience that drops when you die, you have bonfires that replenish your healing items, the combat revolves around stamina management and blocking/dodging, that at least warrants a sticker that says 'souls-like'
can't really say more since I haven't actually played it
